Same for greater Seattle. Though I gotta admit- I like a grey day (... or 300). PNW is for me!

I voraciously consume kidlit analog from the library. If I love it and/or the creator I buy it and buy more for friends. For book club, I do audio almost exclusively. (Perhaps an effect of my comics job, but I have trouble sitting in place to hold and read an analog novel with no pictures...🤭)

Great, targeted & dimensional way to learn! ✨ Was actually just pining for it or something like it the other day! #kidlitchat

Oh I loved ReFoReMo!!🥹I found it verrrry late, like within 2 months of stopping. But it was amazing! I live in a small town with a small library, so I kinda have to pull in the books I want to see. I loved that ReFoReMo helped me realize what I wanted to see. 💛 #kidlitchat

I love this post-It's validating to see many books that have inspired me/improved my work too, but excited to see some others that I hadn't seen before and now must check out! Oh and the podcasts list you made is very exciting. Thanks for floating these up!

Ok good to know. Thanks Debbie! I'm really loving the real-people-y-ness of this space. I really hope it lasts, because what a breath of fresh air - ahhhh. (And thanks seriously for your tireless efforts to keep us all connected!)

Also- Debbie Ridpath Ohi has done a brilliant job getting kidlit folks connected here! ✨ Make sure to check out her post, blog, and follow if you want to connect with basically everyone! (P.S. I'm not tagging Debbie because I bet she gets a zillion notifications from all the thank you's 😬)

I had a TI-99 (Texas Instruments) I found at a garage sale and hooked up to our old B&W TV for a monitor. Finding, buying, and rigging it up was so exciting. Actually using it - meh.

I get a similar reception in my book club. Sorry friends, yes, again my pick is a graphic novel. 🤭

Years ago, I begrudgingly left 3rd grade to grow up. Then when my kids came along, I gleefully re-entered the kiddom. Then my kids grew up and left. But I'm staying. I won't leave. You can't make me.

I took a class freshman year in college called "Intro to Netscape Navigator". I was like "ugh - this is so clunky and terrible. I can't find anything cool. This is never going to catch on. "
