I don't think it's the secular nature of Japanese Christmas that makes it depressing, but the fact that it's not family-centred and also just so obscenely capitalistic and very shallow 😅 (because it's an adopted, non-native, gimmicky day)

Neither did my family. Despite all the religious carols. None of us are religious. But I feel bad when people of other faiths feel like they can't participate because "it's a Christian holiday" 😭

At my school it's 5千 for an hour with the normal teachers and 6千 for the more advanced teacher (I have the more advanced teacher 😭 I only go like once a month though because I also do choir so I do a lot of singing 😆)

I unfortunately already have a husband but he doesn't have an ounce of patriotism in his body so I guess we can both defect and be good Chinese citizens together

I watched it twice - the second time was with my mum over Christmas. She watched the whole thing (parts 1 and 2) within the two weeks I was there 😂
