Oh yeah! #pokemongo

Don't know if it's everyone now or just finally my turn, but there are no routes near me and soon there will be!

Also, walked up Rhialgwm to almost see Eryri (Snowdonia), but too much cloud.

Wales is beautiful. Just back from a gorgeous walk along a rushing river to Pistyill (waterfall) Rhiwargor.

My son is spending this week in his school holidays beginning to learn Blender via an online course. As ever, he's going slightly off-piste and following the tutorial to make... a biblically accurate angel. The hoops with eyes kind. It's impressively terrifying.

Enjoyed a bonkers new game this evening: Cat in a Box, which includes paradoxes and "quantum trick taking"

Yes, I am over excited about Pokémon Go Fest in London this weekend...

Totally unofficial 3d printed and hand painted versions of the official logo of the event.

As a publisher, my favourite thing was publishing books that authors wrote with kids, via a forum (anyone remember Ning?). The first one was a sequel to Fleur Hitchcock's debut SHRUNK!.

Went to BlueDot festival this weekend. It's a music + science + art festival held under the Lovell telescope. Magnificent but also MUD. Highly recommend.

We learned about DNA, poo identification, the icy moon of Jupiter, making balloon animals, pulsars, quasars, Jeffrey Boakye and the band Henge.

Couldn't decide on my first post... Kids books? Technology? Despair at the state of the world?

But I'm organising the loft (attic) and found something that would do a good job summing me up...

NiB 12" Gentlemen Buffy figures from 2000ish. *happy sigh* Unwilling to unbox, even for this photo op.
