Your reading comprehension needs some work. No one said Marxist or Communist. And, yes, Republicans called FDR a Socialist. I’d say those “Socialistic Experiments” worked out quite well for the American people.

At what point do these pack and crack total gerrymanders end up having the effect of no gerrymander at all? Surely all of these states are going from having radically “safe” districts for one party or another to having districts that are much closer to 50/50 right?

Maybe they should stop snatching people off of the streets with masks on a no identification. If some masked guy did that to me or someone I loved you better believe I’d fight back assuming it’s a kidnapping.

Except Sagan didn’t say this. It was written by Sharon Begley in a Newsweek article in 1977 in which she wrote about his work. It’s definitely one of my favorite quotes though and summarizes Sagan’s outlook well.
