Participating in a book study of Richard Culatta's Digital for Good and these two paragraphs from the first reading really hit me. I've deleted Facebook and Twitter in the last two months because of their lack of being this kind of space.

I love these kids with my whole heart. I'd rather be at school than watching MSNBC right now, for my own mental health.

Our local school board has thrown their total support behind our elementary libraries this year, especially in a financial sense. Today, we welcomed students back to an almost entirely new and diverse collection of books.
