'Weed' species need a rebrand - they support so many of our native species and they are beautiful!

If you are interested in #rewilding at smaller scales, then there really is one book you need to read! The second edition of How to Rewild, written by my good friend Jonathan Thomson who is working tirelessly to rewild Underhill Wood Nature Reserve.

A must buy! Available from lnkd.in/erc9XQWV

If you, like me, want to see wilder landscapes in Britain, we need to support systematic change. #Rewilding is happening, but there is still a lot of work to do!

This week, your donation will be doubled. Please help us to scale up rewilding in Britain!

#Rewilding is new & it can be hard to find funding for it, especially if you are exploring a new idea or approach. You have just over a month to apply to Rewilding Britain's innovation fund for up to £15,000 to progress your rewilding project.

Really great to see Bison and #rewilding being featured in the Big Issue for their New Years special!

Fabulous photo from Donovan Wright and brilliant article featuring Hannah Mackins and Chris Sandom. What a way to end the year! 🦬

Rewilding Britain has sponsored concession tickets at the upcoming Citizen Zoo #rewilding conference, to make the event as accessible as possible, allowing students, young people, disabled people & people on a low income to attend.

Get your ticket before they go! ow.ly/OSkA50U4frF

The recent high rainfall gives us some clues about site hydrology. In this case, the water has overwhelmed the drainage ditches and are showing where water would naturally flood overland. Handy when trying to restore natural hydrology and slow the flow downstream!

One of the exciting elements of #rewilding is challenging our knowledge of which species we've lost from Britain.

Dalmatian Pelicans did not even cross my mind as a native species until I started delving into the world of rewilding. Could we see them once again in our wetlands? I hope so!

Looking forward to getting stuck into this book focused on the myths and misconceptions of #rewilding. However, I am disappointed that only 2 out of 14 of the contributors are women! Poor representation of the sector

Absolutely fantastic Woop Woop Talk last night focused on the role of keystone species, in particular predators, in #rewilding and improving resilience

There are active wildcat projects in Wales right now, starting with the feasibility studies. Exciting times!
