Looking to work with good people, doing good things. Writer, reader, broadcaster, presenter, media trainer
For my Thursday slot Radio 2gb at 11 today, I want to know best food trucks and best trivia nights in Sydney? Plus the time I accidentally opened a motorway

Are you a cyclist? I am not and probably never will be. But, Sydney we need to check our fury. Me included. Column today www.smh.com.au/national/nsw...
In Paddington, first-world problems begin with a bicycle
To frame your opposition to a Paddington cycleway as a human rights issue sets a new benchmark for entitlement, even for Sydney.

Hello world Australia here - we are a moderate country . Extreme crazy, nasty, racism, culture wars are now
road kill.

Since I wrote this I’ve been sent some really nasty disturbing desperate stuff. You do not own a seat and the more menacing you get the worse you look! www.smh.com.au/politics/fed...
From corflute craziness to ‘Trumpet’ texts, election day can’t come soon enough
Posters tell us who we’re voting for. But we need to look behind them.

Interesting .. I just got polled on my mobile asking if I supported the Coalition’s nuclear plan and if I would be more likely to vote for them if they dropped it.

Have you received a random act of kindness lately? And what’s the most you’ve paid for parking in Sydney? $10 for a swim? $50 to go to the dentist ? Heading to 2GB to talk kindness and parking after 11. Can they co exist ? Pay for someone’s meter today !

I know its mid to be mid but as inequality in the economy and social debate becomes more polarised I am longing for the middle ground www.smh.com.au/national/nsw...
Bougie or budget: What’s become of Sydney’s missing middle?
The harbour city’s increasing inequality is conspicuous in many aspects of our lives. We can’t allow the middle class to be hollowed out.

Heading into 2GB for weekly Mornings Chat about Sydney stories. DM if you have one to share. Who is the local identity in your area?

I’ve been travelling a bit lately and it’s not because I’m looking to leave Sydney. But I can’t help looking at how we may have to one day. Do you feel you need to give your kidults a loan? A home? Latest SMH piece www.smh.com.au/national/nsw...
Sydney kids are banking on mum and dad. But I don’t want to be a loan
It’s likely most Gen Zs won’t be able to buy property in Sydney unless they get help from their parents. There’s got to be a better way, right?

I love the White Lotus but it’s pretty weird a show about the dark side of tourism is dramatically increasing it. Hypocrisy is the greatest luxury and I got a good lower budget dose myself. 🙏

The White Lotus effect has landed in Thailand, with a plague of lotus-eaters
I travelled 7250 kilometres for enlightenment but found it closer to home.

What a dark day in history.

But let Sydney shine some love, joy and beauty into the world tonight. Happy Mardigras 🏳️‍🌈❤️

I’ll be chatting to John Stanley on 2GB about the local government blues at 8.15pm
February 18, 2025 at 8:36 AM
In which I try to make local government sexy. Why councils are in a mess and how it’s going to get worse

www.smh.com.au/national/nsw...
From pools to seawalls – councils can’t keep their heads above water
Ratepayer protests at North Sydney and Northern Beaches councils are just the beginning. All councils are seriously short of money.

My first piece for SMH. Are you looking to retrain, reinvent or re-approach your job and how you work? I’m now thinking it’s not a relationship, it’s a transaction
www.smh.com.au/national/nsw...
The ABC dumped me, so I’m rethinking my relationships … with work
I’m still feeling love from listeners who sent thousands of messages of support after my departure from the ABC. Like many of my generation, I’m now questioning what I do next.

Arnie will not make the Triple J birthday party on Sunday. Does anyone remember his show Ambience? He had a marvellous mellifluous voice and knew and loved his music www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01...
Arnold Frolows, who helped shape the sound of triple j for decades, has died at 74
One of the first people hired for the ABC's youth-focused radio station became one of Australian radio's most influential figures.

On the weekend it will be 50 years since Triple J began. Arnie will not make the party. I remember his mellifluous voice on Ambience before we worked together. The bloke knew and loved his music. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01...
