Seriously this man is going through it for the entire series and it is a delight to watch.

Super quick summary, they're mad about the pcp function because it won't obfuscate file names, and they seemingly didn't realise that sharing their mods with people does exactly that. They thought Mare was secure because it obfuscated filenames even though anyone could use those mdls, textures, etc.

No lie, one of the concerns I saw was 'what if they steal our appearances and impersonate us to have kitten sex parties'.

As far as I can tell it is. I went into the server and they didn't mention any other modders, it's just them and their cohort having a very Normal about things.

Mare was a tool that let you see how other people modded their characters and vice versa. That's it. So if you weren't already using it, you won't notice anything.

You can still mod your character though?

We don't know, no. There's a screenshot going around of the Mare dev saying it was, but that was faked.

We don't even know if SE sent it or a 3rd party repping SE did. If you know anything about Bungie and D2, then you know 3rd parties on behalf of studios can remove or take legal warnings without the devs wanting that to happen.

I dunno if the gamer community has ever been a healthy one per se but we were definitely way better off when we blamed executive meddling for stuff we didn't like instead of "wokeness" or "lazy devs"
