I think they made a vague attempt at it with Kora… and at least the general had a recognizable motivation but everyone else was murky until that one speech in the last scene. Zach Snyder could take some lessons from Rian Johnson on how to introduce an ensemble cast.

I had the vague thought at the beginning like why is this dude working with them but as everyone’s motivations were vague and not well developed I just chalked it up to bad writing and same, stopped paying attention.

Yes! Exactly. I feel like it’s the whole this movie should have been good but it wasn’t and now I’m Annoyed.

Also first time a movie surprised me with a twist I didn’t see coming just because I thought it was bad character development and not foreshadowing… 😂
