Today's gas utility regulatory reform highlight: Xcel Colorado has committed to building "bottom-up" forecasts based on technology adoption & appliance saturation (rather than blunt customer counts/assumptions about peak day use) to feed into its future gas infrastructure plans.

Hey #EnergySky! In case you missed it, the Michigan PSC just sent DTE Gas back to the drawing boards for its Natural Gas Delivery Plans, asking them to consider how declining demand impacts their infrastructure plans re: customer costs and risks, non-pipeline alternatives, emissions goals & more.

Buckle up, Connecticut. This is just the beginning of heating bill increases, unless the state can get out ahead of the many major headwinds facing the gas system.
