I’m on a writing retreat in the Alps. There are dogs, sofas, coffee, snowy mountains and fluffy slippers. The words are flowing and I don’t want to go home!

Recognise her? This was taken on a research trip to Delft, to find out Johannes Vermeer. THE LAST LETTERS FROM VILLA CLARA is out next month in paperback - find out how I ‘created’ a fictional work by the great master. Hope I haven’t given away too much about getting a forgery past the experts!
