If you set up a server all the people who use your server will have their files and chat shared with all the other servers, they discover each other automatically and all clients connect over SSH in the background.

By doing this you can build a network that cannot be easily taken down if it grows

I've been wanting to build a network like this for decades and I was recently on bed rest and finally had a chance to sit down and play with it.

Not to mention I think communication should be open and free

The github explains it best, but essentially yes.

There is a config.json file that comes with the server containing some entry point servers.

The servers handle file transfers and chats ensuring that two clients never speak directly to one another.
