Maybe they should be pressuring their colleagues to do something about greenhouse gas emissions instead.

The explanation on that page is nice, but what I’m saying is in the actual “targets and commitments” there is a commitment to a minimum # of homes that get us to 100,000 by 2045. It’s at odds with this section’s claims to have a specific target & timeframe. See 8.16. Target & timeframe are explicit.

I don’t buy that though, in the context of an explicitly stated “target and commitment” of a *minimum* of 5,081 new homes by 2030 and 16,942 new homes by 2045. Those are explicit numbers, with explicit timelines.

This isn’t true tho. Target/commitment 8.16 gets us to 100,000 by 2045, so 20 years: “Achieve a minimum of 5081 new homes by 2030 and 16,942 new homes by 2045.” The average Langford household (2021 census) has 2.5 people, so that adds about 42,000 new residents in 20 years - added to 58,000 now.

I’ve taken to pasting as plain text and removing all of those identifiers before sharing links anymore. I realize it’s minor and there’s likely other tracking, but I’m not handing it to them on a platter.

That was my reaction. Seriously, we can’t give a new mother a few weeks to just bond and nest? It’s messed that our culture thinks this is “equity” that mothers just carry on their careers “with” their infants instead of having time off that’s critical for infant development & healthy attachment

God(dess) bless this mother. She is doing so much for her daughter. Really moving heaven and earth, isn’t she? I can’t imagine how distressing this must be. May her daughter get the help she needs and onto a path of thriving and meeting her full potential in this life.

Guess those low-risk drinking guidelines may have actually had some effect.

Buckingham Palace put out a statement - the King doesn’t get involved in politics. Meanwhile he invited Trump to dinner. Rather than ass-kissing in Washington, our political officials should be getting agreements from our allies in Europe to help defend us if he invades like Russia did to Ukraine.

In the name of “objectivity” often more out-there opinions get more air time than they should, so media can appear to “balance” the story. Giving a fringe viewpoint equal airtime to what’s normal and accepted isn’t objective without some analysis indicating that nuanced context, imo.

100%. And it’s more than annoying. It’s frightening. Insanity.

I wonder if they could see a lot more stars back then, because they didn’t have the light pollution, and maybe the configuration did look like a goat back then…

This is insanity.

This has totally been on my mind.

I felt it!

They definitely seem to have their bottom line at much higher interest than the injured driver. And the practitioner is right they don’t care about pain. They cut me off while I was still in pain, and I remain in pain several years later with no treatment covered after the first year.

Has the UK/Monarchy weighed in at all on this talk of annexation? They probably should be rattling some sabres. That might quell the threats from the US, as the UK has a much more powerful military force than wdoarewe do. They must have an obligation to defend us under our constitutional monarchy..

A manufactured distraction to create an “enemy” to create the rationale for authoritarianism.

Nice! Congrats! Please use it to make the world a better place. ❤️

I was out on a date with my guy and the young woman at the next table got on a video call. I just gave her a pointed look and she took the call out to the far corner of the patio.

That might be slightly extreme, but it is super annoying. I don’t have any qualms about asking someone to use headphones in public or to turn the volume down. It helps them learn it’s not socially acceptable.
