Sorry, I just saw this. I don't know enough about Substack to weigh in on this. Just a thought: whenever you post a story online, it's considered published. If you later want to submit it to another publication or website for publishing, it will probably be rejected as "previously published."

This goes to every media outlet, every week. In 1975 it was my job at a tiny radio station to read this and contact a local doctor to comment for the news if there was anything noteworthy. News at its most basic community level.
