I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our dear LSE colleague, Professor Conor Gearty

He was a remarkable person: a brilliant human rights scholar, passionate public intellectual, and a wonderful man. Always warm, witty, generous and curious, with a radiant smile

We will miss him terribly
