The 1200 Club - Me ranking 1200 albums while telling stories about my life. A memoir of sorts. www.the1200club.com
14. FKA Twigs - LP1 (2014) - I did not enter into this FKA Twigs album with a whole lot of confidence. I'd vaguely recalled hearing something by her on Alt Nation back around the time this came out. Was it "Two Weeks" from this album? I don't remember, but Alt Nation was definitely trying like hell

13. The Replacements - Let It Be (1984) - The Replacements... a band that I've heard so many music snobs talk about since I can remember, and I've never gotten it. I suppose for lots of these artists and albums, if I had an ounce of musical talent

12. Pearl Jam - Ten (1991) - I was ever so slightly late to the Pearl Jam party, as I grew up without MTV until I was 13 and moved to St. Marys. Take a drink every time I mention that moving forward. Most of their singles and videos had hit by August of 93,

11. Parliament - Mothership Connection (1975) - From a purely *fun* perspective, this is far and away #1 so far. Plus, it's easy to pick out all the samples that Snoop and Dre used (among others) while recording The Chronic and Doggystyle, and creating the "g-funk" sound in the early 90s.

10. Common - Like Water for Chocolate (2000) - Look, I know Common is an extremely talented musician. That's obvious, and while I fear this is going to become a cliche before long, it just doesn't hit *for me*.

9. Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings and Food (1978) - So this is where I admit that I listened to many of these a few weeks ago and I'm attempting to go back, edit and expand upon my previous thoughts. As such, I can say that David Byrne performing "Dancing on My Own"

8. Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral (1994) - So you remember back in the first entry when I talked about my classmate Phil, the one who posed as Dennis Rodman for a school project? No? Well then, go back and read my previous entries. What are you waiting for?

I think I’ll just change my name to The Elder, and then use this as my profile pic. Seems like a good idea. 😄

Hey y’all. Sarah she/her in NC. I faded out from the other place so glad to see this.

My first novel drops on Amazon on the 1st, fantasy romance. I’m also designing a board game and trying to spend time with my wife and cats. It’s a perfectly cromulent life.
