I also had a woman tow truck driver which, let me tell you, made the ride to the tire shop WAY better.

P.S. Let the record show that I DO know how to change a tire but my car is weird and I would have needed two jacks. Suck it.

Current and proposed policy changes will have the same effect on sick people. Their deaths will be quiet - unless we make noise. Some of us will be called to be louder than others, but we all need to make noise. And for most of us, our loudest noise won’t come from using our voice. Know what I mean?

The N@zis did this before they started rounding up Jewish folks and other minorities. Sick, disabled, and otherwise non-extractable people were the ultimate Untermenschen; they were too worthless even for labor camps, and their families were tricked by policy into sending them away to be murdered.

America has been an oligarchy since day one. There’ve been olive branches extended to working class and marginalized people, but the rich still find ways to get richer. Sick and disabled people are the easiest to toss aside. It’s done quietly, through policy changes that allow denial of care.

The goal of capitalism is wealth; extracting the labor of the working class is priority number one. If that makes you feel dehumanized as a worker, imagine what it’s like to be a sick person. Under this system of extraction, people who can’t make other people money are treated as utterly useless.
