As a dog owner myself I actually don’t think I could ever trust a stranger, regardless of if they have insurence or not. I mean obviously I’m greatful people do cause I get paid haha! But I’d be so damn anxious

I think too people over there aren’t prepare to pay proper money for a professional. They see a pet sitter like the help almost.
A lot of them don’t even do meet and greets either! Crazy!

I saw this video where a woman described having cancer and overcoming cancer like walking through a door, once you walk through that door you can never ever go back, and everyone you know in your life that has never personally been through it is on the other side and you are all alone.

If you have ever known or ever know someone in your life that has faced cancer and no longer has cancer, just know that they want to punch people in the face that say “oh so your fine now”

I think too a lot of people don’t have backyards, and are living in apartments where they have to take their dogs out multiple times to go to the toilet, so I can see how some lazy habbits early on in those situations can very quickly lead to dogs not being toilet trained.

Yeah pretty much!
I’ve also seen some posts from sitters that turn up and find dog poop and wee all over the house, and sometimes you can tell that that’s normal and the owners have just left like days worth of it for the sitter instead of cleaning it all up prior.

Yeah they think it’s ok to crate their dogs all day while they are away, it’s wild! It feels like animal abuse

I think a lot of the sitters on rover don’t actually care about animal welfare and just don’t make money. It’s so sad

I read one post where someone had double booked two overnights and she casually was explaining how she decided to stay at the house that had cameras, and it’s like duuuude you in the wrong job

Omg yes! I know what you mean, I see quite a few where the sitter gets confused and asks if they did the wrong thing by not staying overnight when the owner booked that service.

Biggest thing I’ve picked up on is a lot of pet owners don’t really leave their pets alone like at all, and then expect the sitters to stay in their homes 24/7 for like $1 an hour lol!

Like the expectations they have for sitters really says a lot about them as a pet parent. And the way sitters see them too says a lot about the pet parents

I find those rover/pet sitting communities on Reddit to be mostly made up of people in the US, and I’ve come to learn the way they treat their pets over there is so so diffferent to here.

And also I was kinda keen to see Jeremy Allen white in it, the trailer made it look like he was the perfect cast, but it just felt like I was watching one long episode of the bear. His range of acting ain’t that great.
