Deadly day five post-op has passed and I think we are officially out of the woods…🤞🏻 He’s now pushing his luck on the sofa and totally getting away with it.

He’s home! They showed us what was stuck…half a tennis ball had been rattling around in there for goodness knows how long. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Not out of the woods yet but SO good to have him back. ❤️

Please send positive thoughts for Milo who had to have emergency surgery yesterday after a ragged bit of tennis ball got stuck in his intestine. 😔 Next five days vital as corrective surgery will be impossible because of the size and location of the procedure. Not much writing getting done this week.

Nifty work this morning by the youngest. Cannot beat the magic of coming down to a snow-covered garden.

It was everything I’d hoped it would be. 🖤 Dripping with tension and atmosphere. I was genuinely scared. So much so, I even limited my evening tea consumption so I wouldn’t wake in the night and be too terrified to get out of bed! Highly recommend Shirley Jackson fans.
