I can finally share news of the exhibition I've been working on as part of my postdoc with @hematopolitics.bsky.social! 'Blood: Ties and Tensions' will run from Feb - June 2025 and explores the social and cultural meanings behind blood donation and transfusion.

The exhibition will feature a range of fascinating objects relating to blood donation and transfusion across the centuries, and will play host to an art installation by fantastic local artist Gemma Wood. Here's a sneak preview!

Today's goal - finish writing talk

Today has been spent networking, organising focus groups and reading some interesting articles about the NHS and racism.

Currently on a serious hunt for Ministry of Health Blood Donation Campaign Reports post 1950! If anyone has any knowledge of where they could possibly be, please give me some advice! I've not found any luck as of yet in the National Archives nor Wellcome!

Finished my final seminar of the term/year - safe to say it has been an interesting learning curve!
