This is standard for pre-registration (Foundation) training in Wales. Piloted a few years ago and is now the norm. 1 year, trainees spend 1/3 in community pharmacy, 1/3 in general practice and 1/3 in hospital setting. All apply & are placed through a centralised system and are employed by NHS.
