That’d be the genetics. People have always been autistic. Also pre-medical revolution many autistic babies just wouldn’t have survived w/low muscle tone/other health issues. Plus back in the day ppl were just stuck in asylums if ‘different’ There’s no explosion or epidemic just understanding…

This is my take too, but I do wonder if pollution and older parents, plus premature birth survival rates might also have some effect on brain development. I’m ND and I can see it right through my maternal line though for sure hereditary in my case.

I read it when I was seven and loved it. If they really love you reading to them, they’ll like it. If they get bored quickly, probably not.

Oh nooo. Can you see if there’s a sneaky auto-save back up to an out of software file somewhere in your hard drive? Should be in preferences/options if it’s there. Sometimes things get squirrelled away, I found a massive stash of scrivener stuff once I had no idea was getting onto the actual laptop.
