Nature nerd with a passion for the planet. And apparently alliteration! Although too many iterations is all too much.

Algae is a very large taxonomical group. Aka most water plants. Includes kelp and other large structural algae. Blooms are usually formed from mass single cellular or small floating algae.

Good bloody point! Same with honey and jam.

Make co2 producers trap air release by bubbling it through water which then feeds algal tanks to capture the carbon and harvest the algae for fertiliser or feed stock. C’mon people. We really don’t do simple for a supposedly intelligent species.

Make floating reefs to extend the protected areas along coastlines and give the seaweed the right depth for photosynthesis and protection from heat and light.

FFS! Grow algae farms along vulnerable areas of coast where the higher sea level + waves will lead to faster erosion. Make them into sea gardens that are fish sanctuaries to restock fish populations.

Well said. Division means everyone loses.

All photosynthesis is part of the solution. Particularly when 8 billion people focus on and don’t argue about which type.

Part 2: On top of that. They are crowded and need space. We are nearby. They have strategies to deal with desertification and can build big solar farms. So inhospitable land is not a deterrent. With the world going crazy and our strongest ally unreliable, we are vulnerable and potentially tempting.

However, regardless of what anyone suggests, China demonstrate a violent intolerance and need to dominate anyone who differs from their cultural ‘ideal’. Eg rounding up and incarcerating people and then ‘re-education of Uighars (mangled that) kids after separation from parents.

It is an odd thing about European cultures that put down Muslim people wearing robes with headgear, but venerate nuns wearing a similar version of clothes. Quite symbolic of how people get swept up in rhetoric and don’t see the truth of the world around them.
