To me it would be another stage in developing and exploring our connection. Something that we both see coming as a natural part of who we've become together.

And we need more 🕊

Or, just when I think we're finding our groove they'll spring it on me. Maybe a year or two in, as if some deadline's passed.

But they argue that I should be willing to be married. Sometimes on the first date. I've been proposed to on a first date. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've experienced more first dates that ended in a proposal than ones that ended well.

Acceptance, chemistry, fulfillment, authentic bonding - true love. That's the goal.

But the topic always comes up as if it's part of the initial stages of getting to know someone. As if it's a goal.

It's not a goal for me. A healthy relationship is the goal. Knowing someone and being known is the goal.
