Cancer is shit and I am sorry that you have to deal with this. I am 18 months into breast cancer myself and remember how shocked and overwhelmed I was in those early days after diagnosis. I hope you have the space and support you need as you deal with all the feelings and so so many appointments.

Meh. Other than security issues or conflict of interest I don’t think spouses should be a focus. I also think there is a male bias to this topic. Does anyone think much about a female politician’s partner?

I was also shocked by how much income I have lost on sick leave. I have worked for over 25 years in a full time role and have “full benefits”. Yet my loss of income less than a year is 10s of thousands already. I am digging into my retirement money already.
