Wow. That's fabulous, John. We planted this magnolia in our garden a few weeks ago in memory of my dad. I hope it grows as much over the next decade.

I get what you're saying, Mark (given the rhetoric from Washington) however why not just not use steel from the USA?
Otherwise this becomes a race to the bottom between nations.

I learned Pi with my first scientific calculator when I was a teenager.
So always remember it to 3.1415926 without thinking!

Same here, Danny. Managed to see part of the eclipse though fully clouded over so no sighting of the blood moon, sadly.

I feel exactly the same, Ian.
Have been getting seriously irritated by the media that they are not giving him (Keir) & them (gov) a chance.
Media seem to expect him to turn everything around "on a sixpence" which is totally impossible.
Only justifiable accusation against him was accepting gifts.

I used to live over a bay and enjoyed watching the herons in their patient waiting game with the fish in the water around them.

You certainly are, Padre.
Your podcasts on TWiT got me back into building electronics again a few years ago after stopping when I was 14 (and discovered writing software). Thank you.🙏

Thanks for the tip, Iain. Hoping to get to NY at some point after 2028, so will visit when I'm there. Love bookshops!

Stay safe, Martin. Still very blowy down south (West Cork).

I couldn't care less how "dull" he might be as long as he can sort out issues that need sorting.
The media obsession with "entertaining" political leaders leads to those with all style & no substance, saying whatever is needed to get elected rather than knowing/caring about what needs to be done.
