They want us to be scared and pessimistic, because they know they don't stand a chance against us as a unified front. They have resorted to cheap scare tactics right out of the gate. We have far more power than we think.

Guard yourself from overwhelm. Don't doomscroll, you don't know what is truthful and what is designed to make you feel defeated. Go outside and take a deep breath, talk it out with a loved one, get yourself re-centered. Find a way to feel a small amount of control in your life.

The point is to put so much in our faces now so that we will feel overwhelmed and won’t do anything when the time comes to act. You won’t protect something you already think is destroyed. Don't fall for it. Recognize that a lot of online spaces are astroturfed by bad actors to sow defeatism.
