If the House Ways and Means Chairman's (Jack Smith, a rabid Trump supporter) can be believed, then these idiots are trying to convince us tariffs will make up the difference in lost taxes.
Or they're trying to bankrupt the US government.
The numbers don't add up.

Far short of the $2.75 trillion today being sucked out of the US taxpayer to make up for the pittance corporations have to pay under the Trump and Regan tax cuts for the stinking rich. The numbers don't work The plan would require the federal government to all but shut down completely. Graph showing you'd have to raise customs duties by 100 times the current volume to make up for the loss of personal income tax.
