Falmouth, MA (Cape COD). I’d say at least 500 on our village green, including our Congress member Bill Keating and State Senator Dylan Fernandez. A huge turnout.

My Representative, Bill Keating, just did so over on FB. He has been showing up at demos ever since Inauguration Day, when he stayed in his district to attend the local MLK breakfast.

Your grandpa wrote some terrific books. I was particularly affected as a young girl by Freedom Road. Later in life, we published him (and your mother, who I got to meet) when I was at Houghton Mifflin.

Agree wholeheartedly. Also, your mention of indexes reminds of the time I couldn’t make an author understand that the nature of them is that they are alphabetical. I was reduced to tears and had to get my boss to intervene. I won eventually, of course.

We had about 400 people in Woods Hole, a village of Falmouth, MA that boasts 6 scientific institutions, including NOAA, WHOI, and MBL. Speakers included John Holdren, science advisor to Obama, and Rep. Bill Keating.
