When I’m not pregnant, and I bring up pain issues in pregnancy, doctors and lay people say “well there are options if there pain issues very severe.” When I am pregnant, no real help. I got shingles while pregnant- nothing but tylenol, but also “not too much”

I really agree that AI discussion is sucking a lot of oxygen out of the room right now! It is hard to shake the feeling that not dwelling on it (which is my general approach) is somehow irresponsible or avoidant. But I am certainly happier!

Great observation. Almost every conversation is about the positives of having kids, supporting people who want kids but are facing challenges having them, the importance of abortion where "needed." But so little about how and why we choose to have kids, how many, balance w/other things in life, etc

As an independent faculty developer, I have mainly been working with institutions so far, but have noticed a lot of interest in individualized support as well. If you are interested and would like to explore using PD funds, I'd be happy to help with that too
