Yes. It’s just an evolution of the VFX. Andy & I talked a lot about how saidin & saidar open gateways..he’s so into the mechanics of the one power now which is awesome. We’d play a game in our discussions coming up with outrageous things & then tried to see if we could come up with ways the OP

Oh I love it! But when it’s stuff like continuity I’d rather correct it rather than you all going down a path & then getting confused if we get more seasons..

issues. Would we move forward a fatal wound to using a power wrought blade to a Forsaken is a fatal wound unless a good healer is nearby. Any other wound might slow them down but they can heal themselves of anything short of death. It’s part of the pact with the DO in the show :)

about being intentional about how we were using the Power(s). As a result I’d meet with VFX to discuss what weaves we would use in each scene & what they would look like, THEN stunts & movement would join in & we’d build from there. The hope was we’d get cooler channeling moments & less continuity

S2 was written & filmed over covid and I wasn’t there to object as it wasn’t scripted. So the Lanfear run through from S2 is just one of those things we have to live with. Technically she’d have needed someone to heal that wound using the One Power. As we moved into S3 I started being more vocal

Ah - yeah well that was a bit of an error. I came up with the idea that power wrought blades could kill Forsaken after S2 because I needed to come up with a reason why Ishy disintegrated like that w/ the sword wound. Sure Rand was channeling but honestly we don’t know what he was doing.

shadow & an abomination. This was something that was a change from the books that I championed in a way. I felt that we should feel wrong about it when it was used. It began to open our imaginations for what we could potentially do with both Powers. There’s a lot more but maybe this can help.

can’t. I suggested in the room that if the One Power obeys the laws of nature then the True Power doesn’t. Meaning a Forsaken can heal oneself from most wounds IF granted the gift of being able to use it. The One Power is matter, creation, light & moral, the True Power is dark matter, destruction,

So - we don’t know the limits or limitations of the True Power. Given what we do know of Robert Jordan’s universe all things have balance. If the True Power is the opposite of the One Power that opens up a ton of doors regarding what the Forsaken can do, making them not just more knowledgeable in 1/
