💡 Supported by @snsf.ch, our user-centered research helps explain variations in sense-making, feelings, and behaviors in response to dataveillance from a service-specific perspective and refines our understanding of how dataveillance can help or hinder people from seizing online opportunities.

📱 Our work highlights the perceived self-evidence of dataveillance on YouTube and demonstrates that individual experiences with dataveillance are highly context-dependent.

🔍 Our interview-based thematic analysis shows that dataveillance on YouTube brings beneficial experiences, and that frequent users tended to accept and take advantage of dataveillance practices rather than resist them.
