"Don't Keep Me Waiting"
The elements have weathered this once-beautiful abode where ghosts are the only ones who remain, locked in memories of bygone days of laughter and light. They hang suspended in time, always beyond the stars, but just a whisper away.

"Liminal Lakeshore"
As we shift into the darker seasons, so may my subject matter. This image is aching for the past and bracing for the storms ahead, yet also reflective of the beauty of weathering a life well lived in wild places. This place was created with my photography & digital painting.

Cloud Nine
Yesterday I took a photo of the sky straight above me every hour on the hour, just to see the clouds pass by and keep track of the time. It would have been awesome if it decided to rain or storm during those nine hours, but no. We did get a storm much later. #clouds #sky #cloudnine

Look what my awesome neighbour just shared with me! She taught me shibori and indigo dyeing! These are the ones I made following her teaching. I can’t decide which is my favourite… leaning toward bottom right. (Ignore the yellow tone there; it’s just the lighting in here.) Thanks, neighbour!

"Rural Decay"
Another from my archives - I've been doing this so long I could curate a whole retrospective! This one is from almost ten years ago now. I have many photos of time-worn relics from the past fifteen years in Southwestern Ontario. Many of the subjects are now gone. #rural #photography

Morel Compass I
It's almost time to go mushroom marauding! Morel season is one of my favourite times of the year. I walk from sunup to sundown for many weeks just enjoying being in the freshly greened woodlands, and spying my favourite fungi. #morel #mushrooms #foraging #morelmushrooms #nature

"Prisms & Seaglass"
This is from my archives but is still one of my favourites. May your week be full of treasures and good memories as well.

Orange Sorbet Sunset
This was yesterday evening's beautiful sky over Lake Huron. Tonight's is yet to come...

A Jewel Among Rocks
The last of the ice has vanished from the shoreline; this lacy diamond was the lone remnant of winter's frozen grip a few days ago.

Snow, Sun, & Sand
I love the juxtaposition of the sun still shining brightly while in contrast the roaring wind blows snow across the beach dunes. The sunlit grasses and snowflakes are highlighted against the deeper shadows beyond the sun's reach to create a striking landscape. #photography #art

"Mother Nature's Self-Portrait, Snow On Glass"
A photograph of snow melting and painting my windshield with rainbow hues. I see a woman with floral crown and long hair cascading over her shoulder. The colours faded in mere seconds, so she was a fleeting ghost. #photography #art #mothernature #artist

"Abstract Avalanche"
Although this image looks like abstract art or stained glass, it's actually simply a photograph. It's the result of snow slowly melting and sliding down the windshield of my car. I managed to capture some images before the prismatic colours quickly faded. #art #photography #snow

Lichen & Feather
I came upon this lovely gift from an unknown avian beauty nestled on top of a velvety cushion of lichens, and of course wanted to share it with you. Have a wonderful week ahead!

Diamond Dogs
I'm making the most out of the melting ice and snow along the shoreline while it lasts. Spring is here and winter's remnants will soon be spent. With the changing weather, I've seen many sun dogs and rainbows in the skies... harbingers of hope!

My bees are back and enjoying the crocuses. They are very early this year!

The sky and landscape turned eerie orange as a thunderstorm came through this morning. There was a rainbow and lightning over the ice dunes at the lake. A very ominous and beautiful sight!

Icy River Floes
I went in search of interesting icicles this afternoon and was not disappointed. The brook where I wandered (staying well away from the rushing water) was roaring a song that filled your ears and very soul. It's great to get outside. #photography #art #abstract #winter #icicles

Melting Sundae
Yesterday morning we woke to squalls again, so this scene from the brief melt is already gone. That's the great thing about photography; you can capture fleeting moments forever. The sun rays here evoke the feeling of having that spring sunshine's caress on your face. #photography

Spring Melt On The Rocks
It was an absolutely gorgeous false-spring day. The sun was shining and that unmistakable scent of warmth lingered even in the shadows. At the lakeshore, melting ice and snow created unique landscapes beneath a bright orb wreathed with sun dog prisms. #art #photography #snow

The Eye Of The Storm
This incredibly spooky cloud formation remains my most memorable storm experience to date. The way the shelf cloud whirled and displayed such phenomenal colour was mesmerizing. I have prints!

Between Two Gardens
We'll be seeing flowers again before we know it! I have this as a print here in my studio; it's the "print of the day" so it is now half off. If it speaks to you, speak up! #kincardinelighthouse #kincardine #canadianartist #photography

Huron Selkie
Can you see the seal shape in the crashing frigid waters? Perhaps a creature of legend has visited the lakeshore... an icy selkie?
