Recent finish. Figured I would investigate the Ruth Ware enthusiasm. This was good. I might be losing my interest in mystery stories. Even so, I can say this is well-crafted with believable characters who have believable motives. And it's written clearly and edited well. #books #booksky #read

Despite liking The Martian, I only read this because it's this month's pick for a book club. I liked it a lot more than I expected to. In my opinion, we need more stories like this one about how cooperation is critical to success. #read #booksky

It's not as much work as typical quilting, but using preprinted panels is fast. #quilt #quiltsky #sewing #sewsky

I saw The Wedding People mentioned here on Bluesky last week. It sounded interwoven, so I borrowed it from my library. I really enjoyed it. It's funny and heartwarming.

This top has been on my shelf for over 10 years. It's finally quilted and ready to keep a child warm.

Recent finish: Pigs In Heaven by Barbara Kingsolver. First book I've read from this author. Kingsolver is a truly great writer. I look forward to reading more of her work. #booksky #read

Latest quilt top. About half of it was done as a leaders/enders project over the course of several months.

Handmade cloth napkins. Very boring sewing, but so practical. If they're made from scraps, there's no monetary outlay. Once you have them, you never need to buy paper napkins. Wash them with kitchen towels.

I'm an adult and I have free will so I'll dress like a meadow. Sewn from a used sheet. I copied a shirt that I like wearing and extended it to dress length. #sewing #recycle

Beginning a QAYG jelly roll race style quilt. Strips were pulled from the 2.5-inch drawer to coordinate with the backing. #quiltsky #SunshineQuiltGuild #WrapASmile

Among the annoying aspects of this is that I don't even want to ask a genAI my questions. But I have to receive its idiotic answers anyway.
