awwww man, my sweet mom sent me a buncha stuff in the mail including a really nice hardcover of Sandman, a comic I don't like by an author I despise.
She had mixed up me liking Sandman (weird Triple J comedy guy who I adored) as a kid with the Sandman (that one comic)

I had a host of different giant mutant grabs, that got more giant and more mutant the further into the dungeon you go.

A lot of the monsters in the book are characters. But, like the Screamers, our Manticore is just a monster.

the Dead Amazon, part of Cavegirls on going 'but what if the undead could be your pals?' campaign. I'm pretty sure she was the first monster I drew for the supplement as a tone setter.

The Hyena Sphinx, before I was really into werewolves proper, I dabbled in hyena type monsters.
Cavegirl had this one on the tables so I jumped at the chance to flesh her out. They are a strong candidate for DB critters with the bone crushing teeth and matriarchal pack structure.

It's kind of a shame because it's not a terrible game. It's a solid enough brawler, the music is pretty good, there are some okay bosses and the two big spirits you meet are rad.
But it's all let down by meh mechanics, flat characters and a bland as heck story with no good roleplay options.
