There’s also the question of whether someone will listen in time to make a difference for the vote. In this case, I haven’t seen Van Hollen or Alsobrooks mentioned as wavering, so we’re probably safe there. The key thing is to make our voices heard.

I cannot emphasize enough how much your local Democratic Party committee needs competent and reliable volunteers, whether as committee members, precinct officials, comms help, or just someone who can be counted on to show up and sit behind the party’s table.

That’s why the denunciations from GOP officials ring hollow. If the party held their elected officials, staffers, and volunteers to any standards worth the name—and more importantly, if their “values” were incompatible with this verbal sewage—they wouldn’t have Nazis in their ranks!
