Just so y'all know this is the BS that conservative media is spreading.
The culling of jobs eliminates NON ESSENTIAL or UNNECESSARY jobs, not ones needed to keep things running smoothly. It has zero to do with Russia or that people hate nature or whatever. The point is to stop the bleeding budget so we can reduce our national debt. Just because they have a federal job doesn’t mean they are actually needed or what’s being spent is actually appropriate. Yes it sucks to have lost a job but the private sector does it all the time, they go through and eliminate positions that aren’t needed or people who aren’t doing their jobs.

I spent today standing together in West #Marin for immigrants. Great speakers gave great homage to those who cared for this land and to the spirit of #MLK.

Last night I discovered that the view from the top floor of the @sfmta.bsky.social North Beach Garage in #SanFrancisco is pretty damn incredible.

Our Missing Hearts by @pronounced-ing.bsky.social is the most compelling, unsettling, beautiful book I've read in years. With January 6 upon us and the inauguration coming this book is such an important one to read, to understand where our sociopolitical landscape is going.

Yep - the cable is under the street moving constantly instead of overhead and the cable car has a "grip" to grab it and hang on for the ride. I used to work for SFMTA. The cable cars are an incredible operation. Here's how they get on the track to start the day.
