I didn't make it to the theater for Wicked because I got a flat tire (in the pouring rain!!!). 😭😭😭 When I finally got home I cooked two salmon fillets with the intention of saving one for tomorrow's dinner. But you know what? I ate both and I don't feel bad about it!

I read #Hamnet 3 yrs ago & it was one of those books that really stuck with me. (Helps that I'm a Shakespeare nerd). My review was one sentence: "It made me ugly cry, but I loved it!" Tonight I'm watching an early screening of the film & I'll definitely be crying... but I hope it's not too ugly. 😭

Today I built my new TV unit & instead of listening to music I decided to dive headfirst into RHSLC (even though I haven't seen a Housewives franchise since OC's first season 🙃). TV unit is done...but my binge is not. Halfway thru S1! I have many thoughts but I'm so late to the party. 😭

Went to IKEA yesterday & it's absurd how much they're charging for very sub-par (& sometimes downright uncomfortable) couches. Buying one online & relying solely on reviews by strangers to determine whether or not it's comfortable is unfortunately necessary to save $$$ Don't let me down, internet! 😬

Today I'm moving from a 500sq ft studio apt I've lived in for 12 years to a 475sq ft studio apt, bc it's all I could find within my budget that included a parking spot. The LA rental market is rough! 😭 The only reason I'm moving is bc they're taking away our current parking spots to build ADUs. 🤬

Literally crying at work. She was my ultimate role model/idol/inspiration. Devastated. I remember learning about Jane and her work with chimps when I was a child. I finally got to go chimpanzee (and gorilla) trekking this past summer, she was foremost on my mind. Rest well, Jane. ❤️💔

The author of one of my favorite fan fics turned their fic into a novel and it was finally released today! I can't wait to get home from work to start reading it! I got to see & speak with her at San Diego Comic Con this summer which was very cool. Book is "Alchemised" by SenLinYu (fic is Manacled)

I was always in choir - elementary/middle/high school & a bit in college. I'm 37 now, so it's been 20 years since I sang in a group! A local theater began a new adult choir focused on musical theater. Last night was our first rehearsal - true joy! 🤗 Also, the harmonies in One Short Day are no joke 🫠

I was out of the country the 1st week of #BB27. When I got back I watched 3 eps & stopped. I usually watch eviction eps after the premiere, but I don't even do that now! I still listen to Taran's updates every day, but tbh I haven't vibed with (most of) the cast since the start. It's a bummer! 😞

Today I embark on another adventure! The long journey to Uganda starts soon! Italy the week after! 20 days off work! Managed to fit everything into one backpack! So many exclamation points! Yay! #solotravel
