Not only did tonight’s The Vise on @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social feature a young Christopher Lee as a killer, Ronnie Corbett popped up too.

Thought it was going to be slim pickings in Beverley today, but there was a late flurry. Particularly pleased with the Public Eye tie-in (£2!). Shame the Oxfam sticker won’t come off The Ipcress File without taking some of the cover with it.

Today’s purchases from Hemswell. A slow start, but not bad in the end.

Probably not the prettiest foreground you’ll ever see, and the football result was terrible, but the rainbows over Sheffield were rather amazing this afternoon.

Purchases from York book fair yesterday.

Liz Fraser, in a dramatic role, is rather wonderful.

Rather unexpected sideline for the Modfather. Must be older than he looks too. As seen in Miss Marple: Nemesis.

My parents have returned from a weekend away where they bought this. I’m not sure why.
It features some interesting alterations made by the original owner.

I do believe that’s Doomwatch’s John Paul making an early, approximately 20 second, appearance in The Long Arm, as seen on @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social

Haven’t done much drawing lately, but no better way to start again than with a portrait of my youngest niece, looking like a cheeky urchin.

Today’s 2nd hand book haul from Harrogate. Oddly pleased with The Green Helmet, another to add to my movie tie-in collection.

I’m no longer a cat mum. Martin was put to sleep this afternoon. His age (almost 17) and various health issues finally caught up with him. He was the bestest of good boys.

Martin says “hi” back.

Is this a young Bruce Robinson? If so, he’s just appeared in a fab and groovy psychedelic coffee ad from 1968 on @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social

I have an essay for a forthcoming blu-ray release to complete today, which means my knee is not available for sitting on. Somebody is not best pleased about that.
