Absolutely agree both ICE and for-profit prison companies treat human lives as revenue streams. Abolishing them is about shifting from punishment to dignity, from control to care.

If that’s true, then let it happen through due process not through abandoning the principles we claim to stand for. Justice only means something if we stick to it even when it’s hard.”

I get it. It feels like everything’s crumbling. But if we throw out the idea of democracy entirely, we’re not resisting we’re surrendering. The real fight is to restore and strengthen the system, not burn it down.

It doesn’t come from the track record—it comes from the belief that people can grow, that systems can be challenged, and that apathy helps no one. Faith isn’t blind; it’s a choice to keep pushing anyway

Exactly. Awareness is the first step but action has to follow. None of us have all the answers, but if more people thought like this, we’d already be on the road to real change.

True, laws are made by people but they were created to protect us from chaos, not to justify it. If we start picking and choosing when to follow them, we’re not evolving we’re regressing.

If that’s the plan, it could backfire. Forcing people out without paying them would invite lawsuits, and not every company operates like Twitter under Elon.

It’s possible, but unless there’s evidence of bad faith, it might just be a standard cost-cutting move. Companies do buyouts all the time.

If he’s truly acting outside his authority, then the courts or Congress will check him. No need to jump straight to assuming it’s a scam.

Media consolidation is a problem across the board, but blaming it solely for a lack of GOP AGs oversimplifies things. Voter preferences, candidate quality, and political strategy play much bigger roles.

A military takeover would destroy democracy, not save it. If we believe in the system, we have to fix it through legal and democratic means, not force.

I couldn’t agree more Man on the Inside’ was phenomenal! Ted Danson truly knocked it out of the park, and that first episode had me in tears laughing. You’re so right we need more grounded, live-action comedies like this. It’s refreshing and such a joy to watch. Let’s hope Netflix and others do same
