Travel writer, captivated by mountains.
Pinned
By way of a short introduction: I’m a travel writer and editor, based in Sheffield and obsessed by mountains. I'm interested in adventure travel, sustainability, and issues affecting wild places. Off-screen, I also lead mini expeditions in the Scottish Highlands. Stay tuned for more on that.

One of the things that struck me the most in Nepal was how small the glaciers were in comparison to the map. Often, they simply were not there.
The world’s glaciers have shrunk more than 5 per cent since 2000
An analysis of more than 270,000 glaciers worldwide reveals that they have lost around 7 trillion tonnes of ice since 2000, raising sea levels by 2 centimetres
