On the last day of 2024 .. I found out that both of the whitetail does, that had fawns this year, survived hunting season.
There was a singleton and twins and in my morning dog walk saw them jump into the bush together - all 5 of them.

I decided to drive out to Dacre, on this cold November rain day, to pick up a beautiful holiday wreath at Mad Valley Flower Farm. It’s is just gorgeous! The nursery runs a cut flower business and I’ll be sure to visit in the spring.

Alberta’s struggling elk farmers are trying a gruesome new way to make money.
Instead of just sending the elk off to be butchered and sold as high-end meat, they’d like to offer people to pay for the chance to shoot the animals.
