Matchbook Marketing has given me the opportunity to understand what is it like to work within a creative marketing group. I have been able to work in teams such as Experiential and Outreach. It was been so gratifying to receive this experience while being an undergraduate student.

As midterms are wrapping up, I want to take a moment to reflect on how grateful I am for the Mizzou J-School for giving me a safe environment to hone my skills as a strategic communicator. I have been thrown many challenges, but with support from peers and instructors I have been able to flourish.

Over the summer, I was able to work at Camp Bear Track and as the Media Manager. While instructing activities, providing a safe and fun environment, and collaborating with coworkers, I also managed all content that was pushed out over the summer. I learned many important skills for my future career.

I am so grateful for all the opportunities that the Mizzou J-School provides. Through organizations like PRSSA, I am able to network and make meaningful connections with other Strategic Communications students while completing projects that allow us to practice public relations skills.

This semester at Mizzou, I have had the privilege of serving the Association for Women in Sports Media as a co-Social Media Manager on the executive board. It has been so rewarding to create content for an organization that means so much to me both professionally and socially.
