Inflation was due to this. Covid was a convenient scapegoat for rising prices that were already happening. It compounded it. Anyone upset over the $1 Store raising things $.25 will be *shocked* when it becomes the $1.50 Store. Make no mistake - consumers have and will pay for this. Literally.

I’ve worked in sourcing product from china and other countries for the last 14 years. I can say unequivocally that the last round of tariffs in 2019 led to a rise in import prices. I can also say my company, and doubtless the majority of others, passed this cost to the consumer. The OG source of 1/2
