Maybe this is true of other shutdowns, but the rule about treating SNAP customers like any other customer is a rule intended to prevent stigmatizing SNAP recipients by making it clear they need food assistance. To use that rule to force stores to NOT provide a discount seems particularly evil.

He says there’s no legal mechanism for SNAP funds (there is) but then touts paying the troops by illegally accepting a donation from a billionaire to do so. Clearly demonstrating that decisions are being made based not on legality but on their priorities

This is their only chance to make noise and I’m so afraid they’re going to blow it.

This is so stupid! This is what most Republicans probably want because it’s Democrats saving Republicans from repercussions of their own bad legislation! Republicans will take credit for it in the midterms and Democrats will still look weak and ineffectual.

None of these examples are celebrating his death. They are critical of him but there are no words of praise for the shooter or saying he got what he deserved. Am I missing something?
