Felt the same way about the book, did not continue the series. But did devour all the "Slow Horses" books, they were terrific! Hard to believe same author.

Reminds me of the headless Baby Jesus in our (very old) family manger. Just kept using the headless one for another couple generations. Yes, we are indeed heathens. 😬
