I like books, plants, coloring, and cute animals

Typically read anything in/adjacent to fantasy/sci-fi with the occasional contemporary book as long as it makes me bawl my eyes out

All opinions are my own

I LOVED this book. You will probably need to be a person who likes character-driven stories and can deal with what some see as an unsatisfying ending with little closure. It felt complete to me, but that is the biggest critique I've seen.

Thanks! For better or worse, I like being emotionally destroyed by my media

I moved over to StoryGraph recently, and it has the option to import your data from Goodreads. I'm struggling with a good audiobook platform as well but have had the most luck with Everand so far.

This looks fun! When you say "high" vs "low" on your TBR, are you thinking high desire or low desire? Or high/low like where it's located on the list based on how long ago it was added?

I have no idea what this book is about (I prefer going into books blind) but I keep seeing it recommended. I'll have to add it to my TBR!

Seriously!!! I am fighting for my life every other time a new character arrives

I have the next episode of Severance to watch, but I'm gonna get into bed later and continue Words of Radiance. I'm enjoying it so far and trying to take my time so that I don't miss things (like I do if binging a show) and also to really immerse myself in the world.

I love a matte cover if it also feels super soft! But I don't like how moisture/oils from your hands cling to it and catch the light.

No, you got it right. (I'm not sure I've ever heard that term before.)

No human characters is hard - but if you read fantasy and think about it in terms of characters who aren't fully human, I think you'd have a lot of options! Now, finishing a book I gave up on...that'd be rough. Good luck with your bingo card!

You are an INSPIRATION

Omg!!! I was OBSESSED with these books when I was in high school. I think I could probably still walk to that specific shelf in my childhood public library with my eyes closed. Totally forgot about these!

Bookish bingo is a fun idea - which squares do you anticipate will be the most challenging to complete? I kept the same goal of number of books as last year because I only fell 3 books short, which is SO annoying.

Pretty dry, actually - normally our winters are cool and rainy, but there hasn't been much rain so far this year. I can't really complain. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Used to buy two books for every $20-25 gift card I got as a kid, so like anything more expensive than that doesn't really seem correct

Thanks! I'm inclined to agree 😁
