Good episode as always but it was more than a little jarring to hear yall spend an hour and a half talking about the reduction in violence in the modern era and not once mention the most horrifying act of genocide/ethinic cleansing the world has seen in a generation happening RIGHT NOW in Palestine

Who supports Hamas? Hamas is horrible, but is unelected and unrepresentative. It's also a predictable outcome of decades of systematic dehumanization. Meanwhile the nuclear-armed theocratic ethnostate explicitly calls for "exclusive right of the Jewish people to all of Greater Israel."

I'd encourage you to consider the difference between one "side" calling the ideology of a settler state villainous, and the other "side" basically calling an entire people savages. Hamas is a strawman, asking you to oppose the bombing of civilians is a pretty clear and easy take.
