It changes how the scroll wheel works. In one mode it indents like a normal mouse, but press that button and if you flick the centre wheel with some force the thing goes in to freewheel. It’s ace.

I’m sure Coury was talking glowingly about that (or something similar) in a recent MLiG stream. It is very ugly though.

I think one of the core challenges here is that he’s brought you on to ask you what you think, but then sought to reduce your thoughts to simple binaries. He’s insulting you, himself and his listeners.

Wonderful work everyone involved. As an fyi, the video isn’t appearing in my YouTube subscription feed, which is weird. Hopefully it’s not a common issue and isn’t hurting viewer numbers.

The capitalists have reached the point where the only people worth selling to are each other. There’s not enough money left among the general population to generate the same margins. It’s astonishing how quickly this is moving now though.

I got my sister Encarta 97 as part of a 30th birthday package for next year. Was released within a month of her birth and I think it’s a lovely snapshot of the world at that moment, both as a piece of software but also the content.
I do miss the excitement of Encarta, as good as Wikipedia is.

I think it’s (a little) interesting that you’re outpacing the GN video, which I don’t think would usually be the case? Did DF get in slightly earlier, or do folk see this as slightly more DF territory than GN?

I really enjoyed your Tempest Rising video. It’s be great if there were a few more vehicles for you to show your passion for games but it’s obviously hard with the remit of the channel + the current state of game development.

Aaahhhh I’ve wished for this for so long, and to see it actually become a thing and then look so underwhelming is very sad. I hope it’s just a poor trailer and the final product is a pleasant surprise.

About 40% of the time Windows on my laptop fails to load the trackpad drivers upon boot.
In Excel about 20% of the time CTRL+C brings up a “failed to copy” error nowadays. They really are going backwards.

That’s a point actually, back in the day on GC I used the analogue stick, but on the PS2 or modern equivalent I use the dpad. The gate makes the stick usable on the GC. I’d not thought about that before.

I’d rate the OG Xbox controllers as my least favourite for these games.

Would probably agree PS2 is the best layout (bought an 8bitdo pro 2 for Xbox for this reason), I grew up playing 3 on the GC though and and I love the pad for Tony Hawk. I suck at the game though, so maybe there’s a clue in that.

I just bought a pro 2 for the Xbox to play THPS 3+4 with and it works great. This looks like a worthy upgrade but I doubt we’ll see an Xbox version. Would be nice to be wrong though.

Played the demo and was blown away by how good it felt (all my nostalgia is for 3). 120hz on series x I think as well was a marvel.
