Those same 3 year olds then grow up to be awesome college students. Weird how the circle of life is

Came to bluesky so I could use this as a safe space to ask

How the fuck are the Canucks so broke 😭

How can a NHL Franchise based in one of the greatest cities IN THE WORLD be so broke?

If he didn't have passion he wouldn't be top 10 in puck battles. He obviously has the passion to win those.

I want the player who at age 20 won an SHL championship, while being their league's ROTY, and MVP in both the playoffs and regular season. A tremendous feat.

A player that was 7th in points in the NHL over a 2 season stretch, and the player who was point per game as a 20/yo in the playoffs.

There's truth in this, 100%.

Petey can be too sensitive. We know this.

However, he has passion and a drive to be the best. His puck battles won, his blocked shots and his hit totals prove it.

There are a whole bunch of issues and it's affecting almost everyone production and performance wise.

Yep, 100%.

Way different eras, to be fair. Scoring was up tremendously through the 80s. Point per game players grew like candy.

I'm surprised Gradin didn't stay in the NHL longer though.

While true, I don't think 10 games is enough of a sample size.

The issue is that we can't see more of it to see if it's a legitimate trend without trading Miller unless he gets injured.

"A very long time" = 74 games, at age 26.

222 points in a 184 game stretch from ages 22-25 = "Not enough of a sample size"

I just cannot fathom giving up a player like this.

"before 27"

Sorry, but 31 (almost 32) year old JT Miller is not gonna be anywhere above a PPG in his Canucks career if he stays for another 4.
January 29, 2025 at 12:45 AM
And I'm fine with that

The Canucks spent 50 years looking for a center that could produce at a point per game before turn 27, and I rather not spend another 50 trying to find another one.

Hard to win 2 games in a row when Noah Juulsen and Tyler Myers play a sizable chunk of minutes.

Could Boeser be looked at to play in case of an injury? Or is he too far down the totem pole.
